So, this deviation is not so much a story as a journal entry itself. But none the less, in a short sense it does tell part of the long story that is my life. It's a very bleak out look, and life is not always this bad for me, rest assured. But right now, due to my natural emotional swing and some other tragic circumstances and the added stress of a new job, my own outlook right now is somewhat bleak. But I am on the upward swing, and am feeling better as the days pass. Thankfully - unlike past times - this down swing has been short and not very severe. There has not been as much emotional distress, so it has not been a very creative time, as it has been in the past. But it has been a very lethargic time, as I have been very depressed. But given what happened, and the context I found myself woven into, it is understandable. Now I won't upset you with the details, but it was not a good context, by any measure. But it is all getting better now, and although it will be a long road, we are all now on the road to recovery.
And now, to take comfort in yet another intoxicating and addictive obsession - as old as it may be - to help me get through what little of the night remains. As "This is the story of my life" ends, it's time to leave the computer and go to bed, listening to Bardot it seems. Which is the old obsession. And oh how old it is I have just realised, a good ten years. Wow...
